The Apocalypse Project.
This is the map. Los Santos after it all went wrong, wrecked cars everywhere, broken bridges, roads you can't drive on anymore. I started it back in 2020 converting GTA V map mods to FiveM and it never really stopped. It's free, it's open source, and BeyondSurvival ships with it. But you don't have to use it, the framework don't care what map is under it.
Current version v1.0.6, updated 18-09-2026
A whole-map conversion, on top of the normal one.
It does not replace San Andreas, it sits on top. Around 160 ymaps and something like 64 thousand static entities, split in zones so you can see what is loading. Honest note: I did not model most of this. A lot of the maps were made by other people on GTA5-Mods and I converted them, then the community forks (SparksScripts' Total Apocalypse and SantosMods' Total Apocalypse Revisited) got merged back in so nobody gets lost between ten versions. Everybody is credited in the thread and the README.
Resources under [map]/[the_apocalypse_project]
apocalypse-core — Shared props and archetypes. The big one, everything else leans on it.
apocalypse-los-santos — The city itself. Wrecks, barricades, dead streets.
apocalypse-blaine — Sandy, Paleto and the rest of Blaine County.
apocalypse-infrastructure — Roads, tunnels, highways.
apocalypse-statewide — Stuff spread across the whole state, lots of small ymaps.
apocalypse-interiors — Interior bits.
apocalypse-fall-of-the-bridge — Fall of the Bridge, the original FiveM v1.1 release, in its own resource now.
apocalypse-last-of-us — The Last of Us map content.
apocalypse-post-apocalyptic — Extra post-apocalyptic placements.
apocalypse-props-overgrown — Experimental, a weathered replacement for one street light. Client side only.
apocalypse-ipl — IPL loader, Bob74 style base IPLs. On by default.
From the forum post.

Optional. One line on, one line off.
BeyondSurvival works on vanilla map too, zombies and loot don't depend on any of these props. If you want the map, it's this in server.cfg:
ensure [the_apocalypse_project] Don't want it? Comment the line out (put a # in front) and restart. That's it. If you remove it also have a look at the increase_pool_size lines, they are there mostly because of this map and on vanilla you probably don't need them that high.
Already running bob74_ipl or other IPL loader? Then set enabled = false in apocalypse-ipl/config.lua, but be aware some interiors can load wrong if your loader don't cover the same ones.
Known bugs still there: some ymaps disappear in tunnels and few components are missing. Reports welcome on the forum thread or here.
